From Self-Harm to Self-Care

Self-harm is any self-inflicted injury, such as hair pulling, skin picking, cutting, and more.

Asking about self-harm directly is one of the best ways a parent can address this behavior. Starting open conversations about self-harm helps to reduce the stigma and shame associated with asking for help.

Counseling helps children learn the power of their feelings, beliefs, and actions. If your child is struggling, I can help them learn emotional expression, identifying feelings, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and more.
